Ahmedabad, 7 Feb 2025: Last month, during his visit to the Maha Kumbh Mela, Gautam Adani stated that his son’s wedding would be conducted in a “simple and traditional way.” Staying true to his word and dispelling all rumors and speculation that Jeet Adani’s wedding would be a lavish affair, the billionaire industrialist not only kept the wedding simple but also donated INR 10,000 crore towards various social causes.
Sources close to him revealed that Gautam Adani’s list of causes for this significant donation aligns with his social philosophy:
"Seva sadhana hai, Seva prarthana hai, aur Seva hi param satya hai."
(The act of service is devotion, service is prayer, and service is the ultimate truth.)
A significant portion of this donation is expected to fund massive infrastructure initiatives in healthcare, education, and skill development. These initiatives will focus on providing all sections of society with access to affordable, world-class hospitals and medical colleges, top-tier K-12 schools, and advanced global skill academies with assured employability.
On the occasion of his younger son’s wedding, Gautam Adani posted on X (formerly Twitter):
"Parampita Parmeshwar ke aashirwad se Jeet aur Diva aaj vivah ke pavitra bandhan mein band gaye.
Yeh vivah aaj Ahmedabad mein priya jano ke beech paramparik reeti-rivazon aur shubh mangal bhav ke saath sampann hua.
Yeh ek chhota aur atyant niji samaroha tha, isliye hum chah kar bhi sabhi shubhchintako ko aamantrit nahi kar sake, jiske liye mein kshama prarthi hoon.
Main aap sabhi se beti Diva aur Jeet ke liye sneha aur aashirwad ki hriday se aakanshi hoon."
Interestingly, in his post, he referred to his daughter-in-law as “daughter Diva.”
At the Belvedere Club in Ahmedabad’s Adani Shantigram Township, Jeet Adani married Diva, daughter of diamond trader Jaimin Shah. According to family insiders, the wedding was a simple ceremony, featuring traditional Gujarati rituals and attended only by close relatives and friends.
Notably absent were politicians, business leaders, diplomats, bureaucrats, film stars, entertainers, and other celebrities.
Jeet Adani currently serves as Director at Adani Airports, managing six international airports and overseeing the construction of a seventh in Navi Mumbai. He is an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
Just two days before the wedding, Gautam Adani announced ‘Mangal Seva’, a program to support newly married women with disabilities. As part of this initiative, 500 such women will receive financial assistance of INR 10 lakh each year. To mark the launch, Jeet Adani personally met 21 newly married divyang women and their husbands.
The Adani Group Chairman expressed his joy on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting that Jeet and Diva are beginning their journey with a noble resolution:

On January 21, at Prayagraj, when asked by reporters at the Maha Kumbh if his son’s wedding would be a "Maha Kumbh of celebrities," as widely speculated, Gautam Adani firmly responded:
"Definitely not. We are like common people. Jeet came here to seek Maa Ganga's blessings. His marriage will be simple and traditional."
Gautam Adani’s exemplary gesture of "Seva Over Self" on his son’s wedding day has set a remarkable precedent. By choosing to support social causes over a display of opulence, he has redefined the essence of celebrating personal milestones, introducing a thoughtful, community-focused approach that creates a lasting impact beyond mere public spectacle.
