Youth Killed in Hubballi; Police Shoot, Arrest Three Suspects

Hubballi: A 22-year-old youth was brutally murdered over a minor issue in the parking area of the Golden Heights Bar on Lingaraj Nagar Road late Monday night.
The deceased, identified as Akash Valmiki, 22, a resident of Indraprastha Nagar, was stabbed to death by three individuals following a petty dispute. The accused fled the scene after committing the crime.
Upon receiving information, Police Commissioner N. Shashikumar, DCP Mahaning Nandagavi, and Vidyanagar police rushed to the spot to investigate and initiated efforts to track down the culprits.
During a pursuit, the accused were intercepted near MTS Colony. When they allegedly attempted to attack the police to evade arrest, officers opened fire, injuring them in the leg. The three suspects, identified as Abhishek Shirur, Vinod Ambiger, and Yallappa Koti, all are residents of Anand Nagat were subsequently apprehended and admitted to KIMS Hospital for treatment.
Preliminary investigations suggest that old enmity may have been the motive behind the murder. Police are conducting a detailed probe to ascertain further details.
A case has been registered at the Vidyanagar Police Station, and efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining suspects.
