Two Killed, Nine Injured in Hit-and-Run Incident in Jaipur

Jaipur: A hit-and-run incident occurred in Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Monday evening, resulting in two deaths, according to police.

 

The incident took place in the Nahargarh area of Jaipur, where nine people sustained injuries. Sub-Inspector Kanhaiya Lal of the SMS Police Station confirmed the details. The speeding vehicle struck multiple people, leading to chaos in the area.

 

According to Additional DCP (North) Bajrang Singh Shekhawat, the car initially hit several vehicles on MI Road before moving towards Nahargarh Road, where three more accidents occurred near Balaji Turn in Langar.

 

Locals acted quickly and bravely to apprehend the driver on the spot, handing him over to the police. Both the car and the driver have been taken into custody. CCTV footage of the accident has emerged, clearly showing the car's uncontrollable speed and the sequence of collisions.

 

Police have launched an investigation and are currently interrogating the driver. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem, and the injured are receiving treatment at SMS Hospital.
