Apple Debuts iPhone 16e in India with Exclusive Pre-Order Benefits and Enhanced Features

Apple has unveiled its latest budget-friendly offering, the iPhone 16e, set for pre-order in India starting February 21 at 6:30 PM. The device will be available through Apple’s online store, flagship retail locations in Mumbai’s BKC and Delhi’s Saket, and authorized partner outlets. Priced from ₹59,900, the smartphone introduces flexible payment options, including zero-interest EMI plans for up to 24 months and a trade-in program offering credits ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹67,500 for older iPhone models.

The iPhone 16e arrives in three configurations: 

- 128GB: ₹59,900 

- 256GB: ₹69,900 

- 512GB: ₹89,900 

Sleek Black and White finishes round out the color choices, catering to minimalist aesthetics. 

Pre-Order Incentives 

While no bank-specific discounts have been announced, Apple sweetens the deal with a complimentary three-month subscription bundle to Apple Music, Apple TV+, and Apple Arcade. The trade-in initiative allows users to offset costs by exchanging eligible devices, with values determined by model and condition. 

Innovative Features and Upgrades 

Retaining design cues from the iPhone 14, the 16e sports a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a Face ID-enabled notch. The rear camera system debuts a 48MP primary lens with 12MP 2x telephoto support, enabling 4K Dolby Vision recording at 60 fps and Spatial Audio capture for immersive playback on AirPods or Apple Vision Pro. 

Under the hood, the A18 chip powers the device, featuring a 4-core GPU with hardware-accelerated ray tracing for gaming and a 16-core Neural Engine to drive machine learning tasks, including Apple Intelligence integrations. A standout addition is the customizable Action Button (borrowed from the iPhone 15 Pro), which unlocks shortcuts tied to Visual Intelligence tools.

The iPhone 16e adopts a USB-C port for universal compatibility and introduces satellite connectivity for emergency services like SOS, Roadside Assistance, and Find My tracking in remote areas.
