Hubballi-Dharwad Bandh: Essential Services to Operate, Here’s What’s Open and Closed

Hubballi: Leaders of Dalit organizations have announced that the Hubballi-Dharwad Bandh on January 9 (Thursday) will be a total shutdown. They have urged the residents of the twin cities to support the bandh, which is being observed to protest Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s remarks on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

Speaking to reporters, Samata Sena leader Gurunath Ullikashi stated that the bandh will be observed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday. He assured that all essential services will operate as usual and requested the public to support the bandh.

NWKRTC PRO Shivanand Nagavi mentioned that buses will operate depending on the situation tomorrow.

There is no official confirmation issued by DDPI or from district administration whether schools will run as usual or not.
