Running of Special Trains Between Shivamogga Town and Banaras for Kumbh Mela

Hubballi: The Railway Board has decided to run special express trains between Shivamogga Town and Banaras for one trip in each direction to manage the extra rush of passengers during the ongoing Kumbh Mela.

1. Train No. 06223 Shivamogga Town - Banaras Express Special will depart from Shivamogga Town at 4:40 p.m. on February 22, 2025 and will reach Banaras at 3:00 p.m. on February 24, 2025.

2. In the return direction, Train No. 06224 Banaras - Shivamogga Town Express Special will depart from Banaras at 1:30 a.m. on February 25, 2025 and will arrive at Shivamogga Town at 6:45 a.m. on February 27, 2025.

En route, the train will have stoppages at Bhadravati, Birur, Chikjajur, Chitradurga, Rayadurg, Ballari Cantt., Hosapete, Koppal, Gadag, Hole Alur, Badami, Bagalkot, Almatti, Basavana Bagewadi Road, Vijayapura, Indi Road, Solapur, Daund, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki and Mirzapur stations in both directions.

The special trains will consist of eleven 2AC Three-Tier Coaches, four Sleeper Class Coaches, two General Second-Class Coaches and two Luggage/Generator/Brake Vans.
