NWKRTC to Operate 114 Special Buses for Sankranti Festivities

Hubballi: In anticipation of the 2025 Sankranti festival, the North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) has announced the operation of 114 additional special buses. These buses will cater to the festive travel demand from divisions including Hubballi, Dharwad, Gadag, Belagavi, Uttara Kannada, Haveri, Chikkodi, and Bagalkot.

With a long weekend leading up to the festival, special buses will run on Friday, January 10, Saturday, January 11, and Sunday, January 12. Additionally, on Tuesday, January 14, Sankranti day, extra services will be available from Bengaluru and other major cities to accommodate the heavy rush of passengers traveling to their hometowns.

Special bus services have also been scheduled from Bengaluru to various destinations within Karnataka and neighboring states on January 10, January 11, and January 13. Post-festival, additional buses will be deployed on January 14 and January 15, as well as in the following days, from major locations to meet the return travel demand.

The NWKRTC has urged passengers to take advantage of these special services for a safe and comfortable journey. It encouraged travelers to opt for the corporation’s buses and benefit from the extensive festive transport arrangements.
