Hubballi Police Seize Unaccounted ₹88.99 Lakh
Hubballi: The Keshwapur Police have seized ₹88.99 lakh in unaccounted cash from a car near Gymkhana Club on Kusugal Road late last night.
Acting on a tip-off, the police intercepted the vehicle and detained three individuals—Pandurangappa, Kamala, and Balakrishna—all residents of Bhadravathi. The investigation into the source and intended recipient of the cash is currently underway.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Mahaning Nandagavi told DailyMail24 that the accused were transporting the money from Hubballi to Bhadravathi. However, it remains unclear to whom the money belongs. He further stated that the Income Tax Department would be informed about the seizure for further investigation.
The Keshwapur Police continue to investigate the case to determine the origin and purpose of the unaccounted funds.
