Three Arrested for Robbery in Dharwad

Dharwad: Vidyagiri Police have arrested three individuals involved in a robbery that took place on February 8. The accused—Ashok Hosamani (20), Shivukumar Kokati (28), and Shivanand Karadigudda (28), all residents of Dharwad—were taken into custody within hours of the crime.

According to police reports, the trio broke into the residence of Vinodini Kabbur on Kabbur Road, assaulted her, and fled with gold ornaments and cash. Acting swiftly, a police team led by ACP Prashant Siddangoudar and Inspector Sangamesh Didginal tracked down and apprehended the suspects.

During interrogation, the accused confessed to their involvement in multiple thefts in areas such as Kabbur Road, Malamaddi, Someshwar Temple Road, and several other locations.

The police have recovered stolen items, including a 30-gram Mangal Sutra worth ₹1.20 lakh, three motorbikes, two mobile phones, and an autorickshaw. Further investigations are underway.
