Siddaramaiah: "My Position as CM is Secure, No Rift in Congress"

Daily Mail 24 News Desk.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah dismissed rumours of a leadership change, asserting his position is secure and denying internal disputes within the Congress. Speaking to reporters, he criticised the media for spreading misinformation and clarified that social gatherings with Congress leaders were wrongly interpreted as political manoeuvring.
During Congress Legislature Party (CLP) and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) meetings, Siddaramaiah emphasized the party’s unity, supported by AICC General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala, who called the rumours baseless and blamed the BJP for spreading misinformation to divert attention from its internal issues.
Meanwhile, BJP leader Jagadish Shettar alleged internal strife, accusing Siddaramaiah of sidelining Deputy CM DK Shivakumar, citing the MUDA scam and Shivakumar’s absence from a Congress dinner as evidence. Congress leaders refuted these claims, with Siddaramaiah affirming that leadership decisions rest with the party high command, including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Sonia Gandhi.
