The Deadline for Installing HSRP Number Plates Extended 

Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Transport Department has once again extended the deadline for installing HSRPs (High-Security Registration Plates). This is the sixth extension, giving vehicle owners another option to equip their vehicles with HSRP plates. 

The installation of HSRP plates is required, and failure to comply will result in limited services such as ownership transfer and address changes. Vehicle owners can sign up for HSRP installation online.

Despite six extensions, many vehicle owners have yet to affix HSRP number plates on their vehicles. As a result, the State Transportation Department has provided an extra opportunity. The department has issued an order that extends the deadline for installing HSRP number plates until January 31 of this month. It is mandatory for the vehicles registered before 2019 to have HSRP number plates.
