Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two-nation working visit to France (Feb 10-12) and the United States (Feb 12-13) at the invitations of Presidents Emmanuel Macron and Donald Trump respectively.
In France, PM Modi will co-chair the AI Action Summit with President Macron, visit Marseilles and Cadarache, where the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor is located. The leaders will also hold bilateral talks, meet business leaders, and pay tribute to Indian soldiers of World War I at the Mazargues War Cemetery. Additionally, they will jointly inaugurate a new Indian Consulate in Marseilles.
In the US, PM Modi will engage in bilateral talks with President Trump, meet senior US officials, and interact with business leaders and the Indian community. The discussions will focus on trade, defence, technology, counter-terrorism, and the Indo-Pacific. A Joint Statement is expected at the end of the visit.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri emphasized that this visit will further strengthen India's strategic ties with both France and the US.
