Hubballi: Uncertainty prevailed late into the night regarding whether schools and colleges would function on Thursday, as various Dalit organizations have called for a Hubballi-Dharwad Bandh to protest Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s remarks on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

Despite the growing concern, no official statement had been issued by either the Deputy Director of Public Instructions (DDPI) or the district administration as of Wednesday night. Some schools in Hubballi announced holidays, but it remains unclear whether these decisions were made at their discretion or based on informal communication from the education department.
