Hubballi-Dharwad Bandh: Congress Women’s Wing Joins Dalit Organizations in Protest

Hubballi: The Women’s Wing of the Congress Party has extended its support to tomorrow’s Hubballi-Dharwad bandh, called by various Dalit organizations to condemn Union Home Minister Amit Shah's remarks against Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Congress Women’s Wing President Deepa Nagaraj Gouri stated that her party fully supports the bandh and expressed confidence that it would receive widespread backing.

Responding to BJP leaders' allegations that innocent Dalits are being exploited, Deepa Gouri said, "The Congress Party has not exploited any Dalits. It is the BJP that insults Dalits and the Constitution. We fully support tomorrow's bandh in the twin cities. The BJP is resorting to intimidation tactics regarding the bandh. However, we are not afraid of the BJP's empty threats. We will extend complete support to tomorrow's bandh and ensure its success."
