Four Killed as Lorry's Iron Poles Fall on Autorickshaw Near Warangal

Warangal: In an accident on the Warangal-Khammam National Highway near Mamnuru 4th Battalion on Sunday, four people lost their lives, and three others sustained injuries when iron poles fell from a lorry onto two autorickshaws.
According to the police, the mishap occurred after the wires securing the poles snapped, causing the heavy load to topple. The autorickshaws, which were carrying seven passengers at the time, were crushed under the falling poles.
The deceased were identified as residents of Lalith Nagar in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal district. The injured were immediately transported to a government hospital for urgent medical care.
Authorities have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.
Expressing his condolences, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy conveyed his sorrow over the tragic loss of lives. He has instructed the District Collector and senior police officials to ensure that the injured receive proper medical treatment. The Chief Minister also called for stringent measures to prevent similar accidents in the future.
This tragic incident has raised concerns about the safety protocols for transporting heavy materials on highways.
