API Hubli-Dharwad Celebrates Physicians Day with CME Sessions and Physician Honors

Hubballi: In a heartfelt tribute to the senior members of the medical community, the Association of Physicians of India (API) Hubli-Dharwad Chapter celebrated Physicians Day 2024 on Sunday at Hotel Naveen.

The centerpiece of the event was the felicitation ceremony, where distinguished physicians were honored for their outstanding contributions to medicine and patient care. The honorees included Dr. A.S. Akkamahadevi, Dr. P.B. Vijayalakshmi, Dr. Mahesh C. Nalwad, Dr. Gurunathgouda M. Patil, and Dr. Durgaprasad M. Kabade.

A key component of the event was the Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions, which featured expert speakers addressing critical issues in modern medicine. Dr. Suresh V. Sagarad delivered a session on Chronic Heart Failure Not Responding to Four Pillars? while Dr. Vivekanand S. Gajapathi discussed the Management of Peripheral Arterial Disease. Dr. Sanjeev Chatni presented on the Role of Endoscopists in Upper GI Bleeding.

The event also saw the presence of Dr. Suresh V. Sagarad, Chairman of API Karnataka (Guest of Honor), Dr. Mahalingappa B, Chairman Elect of API Karnataka, and Dr. Vishwanath K, Secretary of API Karnataka.

The program was presided over by Dr. B.S. Patil, Dr. B.B. Jayashankar, and Dr. G.B. Sattur, with leadership from Dr. Ishwar Hasabi (Chairman) and Dr. Avinash Itagi (Secretary) of the API Hubli-Dharwad Chapter.
