Hubballi: Akash Valmiki Murder Case – Three More Accused Arrested

Daily Mail 24 News Desk.

Hubballi: The Vidyanagar police have arrested three more individuals in connection with the Akash Valmiki murder case, bringing the total number of arrests to seven.

The 22-year-old Akash Valmiki was brutally murdered over a minor dispute in the parking area of Golden Heights Bar on Lingaraj Nagar Road late on the night of January 27. Akash, a resident of Indraprastha Nagar, was stabbed to death by three individuals following a petty altercation. The accused fled the scene immediately after committing the crime.

Police swiftly pursued the suspects and intercepted them near MTS Colony. During the chase, when the accused allegedly attempted to attack the officers in an effort to escape, the police opened fire, injuring them in the leg. The three suspects—Abhishek Shirur, Vinod Ambiger, and Yallappa Koti, all residents of Anand Nagar—were subsequently arrested and admitted to KIMS Hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigations suggest that an old enmity was the motive behind the murder. Speaking to DailyMail24, DCP Mahaning Nandagavi confirmed that three more individuals had been arrested in connection with the case. The newly arrested suspects—Shivaraj Nityanand Mishrikoti, Rohan Raju Bilagi, and Vinayak Kuppasgoudar, all residents of Anand Nagar—were taken into custody.

With these latest arrests, the total number of accused in the case has risen to seven, and the investigation is still ongoing to determine if more individuals were involved.
