18 Countries to Participate in "Invest Karnataka 2025": State to Announce New Industrial Policy

Bengaluru: The "Invest Karnataka 2025" Global Investors' Meet is expected to attract investments exceeding ₹10 lakh crore in the state. So far, investments worth ₹7 lakh crore have been confirmed, stated Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar.
Addressing the media after a preparatory meeting at Vidhana Soudha on Monday, DCM D.K. Shivakumar said, "More than 60 distinguished delegates will participate in the event, sharing insights on various topics. Around 2,000 investors have registered for the meet. A total of 18 countries will be participating, with nine countries setting up their pavilions. Additionally, high-level industrial leaders from ten countries will take part in sectoral discussions."
New Industrial Policy Announcement
"Karnataka's New Industrial Policy 2025-30 will be announced at the summit. After studying the policies of several states, we will introduce the most attractive and effective policy. Additionally, the Clean Mobility Policy 2025-30 will also be unveiled. The state is working on a single-window system to facilitate investments and ensure smooth coordination between investors and buyers. The department has trained around 4,000 SMEs in preparation for the summit," he said.
$3 Lakh Prize Money for Startups
"Many investors have emphasized job creation not only in Bengaluru but also in other districts. To encourage them, a total prize money of $3 lakh will be awarded, with each startup category receiving $1 lakh," he added.
"Around 30 startups with innovative ideas will participate in the Karnataka Investment Summit. More than 1,000 startups had applied for exhibition slots, out of which 45 startups with groundbreaking ideas have been selected," he noted.
"A total of 85 stalls will be set up to facilitate exhibitions and information exchange. A technical workshop will also be organized. Our government is promoting investments in districts beyond Bengaluru, urging investors to create more job opportunities outside the capital," he emphasized.
The summit will be held from February 11 to 14. Under the leadership of Industries Minister M.B. Patil, a delegation has visited 16 countries, inviting global investors and showcasing Karnataka’s human resources, wealth, and government incentives. Several MoUs will be signed following the inaugural event on February 11.
