Hubballi, DailyMail24 Online: The Indian National Congress has authorised its key representatives to appoint Booth Level Agents (BLAs) for the revision of electoral rolls in the Hubballi-Dharwad Assembly constituencies, as per the Election Commission of India’s guidelines.
According to the official communication submitted in Form ID: BLA 1 to the Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka, and the District Election Officer, Dharwad, the authorisation has been granted under the Election Commission’s instructions.
Hubballi-Dharwad East MLA Prasad Abbayya, KPCC General Secretary Rajath Ullagaddimath, senior Congress leader Deepak Chinchore have been authorized to appoint BLAs in East, Central and West constituencies respectively.
These representatives have been empowered to intimate the names of Booth Level Agents who will receive printed copies of the draft and final electoral rolls on behalf of the party during the ongoing revision of electoral rolls with January 1, 2025–2026 as the qualifying date.
The appointment of BLAs is part of the Election Commission’s structured exercise to ensure transparency and accuracy in the voter list revision process, enabling political parties to verify entries and suggest necessary corrections.
