A neurological disorder called migraine is typified by severe, pulsating headaches that are frequently accompanied by light and sound sensitivity, nausea, and vomiting. Migraines, in contrast to ordinary headaches, can persist for hours or even days and have a major impact on day-to-day functioning. Stress, hormonal fluctuations, specific foods, dehydration, sleep deprivation, and environmental elements like bright lights or strong odours are examples of triggers that differ from person to person.

Although the precise cause of migraines is unknown, it is thought to be related to genetics, altered brain chemistry, and altered nerve signalling pathways. Finding personal triggers and altering one’s lifestyle are common steps in migraine prevention. Reducing the frequency and intensity of attacks can be achieved by managing stress, avoiding known food triggers, staying hydrated, and keeping regular sleep schedules.

Although there isn’t a cure for migraines, they can be effectively controlled with medicine, lifestyle modifications, and occasionally complementary therapies like yoga, acupuncture, or biofeedback. For a customised treatment plan, speak with a healthcare professional.
