Mandya: In response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, the Indian Army carried out a strong retaliatory strike against Pakistan early Wednesday morning. Following this, a high alert has been declared across the state as per the Centre’s directive, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said.
Speaking in Mandya, the Chief Minister noted that the Indian Army has already launched Operation Sindoor, targeting and destroying terrorist hideouts within Pakistan. In light of the uncertain security situation, he said high alert has been issued at key locations, including major reservoirs and critical infrastructure across Karnataka.
He also mentioned that special prayers and rituals are being held in temples under the state’s Muzrai Department, praying for the continued success and safety of the armed forces. Additionally, efforts are underway to identify and deport Pakistani nationals residing in Karnataka. He added that some individuals in Mysuru have approached the courts, but there is currently no consolidated data on the exact number of Pakistani citizens living in the state.
