Hubballi, Sept.10 (Daily Mail Online): Civic grievances ranging from streetlight problems to garbage management dominated the monthly Phone-in Programme conducted by Hubballi-Dharwad Mayor Jyoti Patil on Tuesday.
The interactive session, held at the Mayor’s chamber, witnessed 25 calls with a total of 40 complaints being registered. Citizens raised concerns over drinking water supply, underground drainage (UGD) issues, streetlight failures, and solid waste management.
Mayor Patil directed officials to take prompt action on the grievances and submit an action-taken report without delay. “Complaints are being categorized into three groups — Category A for issues that can be resolved immediately, Category B for those requiring a few days, and Category C for matters that need additional funds and will be addressed based on financial availability,” she explained.
Deputy Mayor Santosh Chavan, HDMC Commissioner Rudresh Ghali, Zonal Assistant Commissioners, and other municipal staff were present during the programme.
