Bengaluru: The much-anticipated Queen’s Premier League (QPL) Season 2, presented by KNS Infrastructure, will begin on November 10. Major sporting competitions will be held from November 11 to 15 at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium, while a special pre-event launch will take place on November 10 at E-Zone, Marathahalli.
In a grand ceremony held at Conrad Hotel, Bengaluru, the QPL 2.0 jersey and trophy were unveiled. Renowned Indian athlete and Olympian, Padma Shri Anju Bobby George, unveiled the trophy and the jersey. The event was also attended by Dr. M.A. Saleem , Director General & Inspector General of Police, Karnataka; Dr. K. Govindaraj (MLC), President – FIBA Asia and Karnataka Olympic Association; Mahesh Gowda, Founder of QPL; and Pramod Shetty, popular actor and Co-Founder of QPL.
This season, QPL includes 12 different sports, along with freestyle dance and fashion competitions. The league aims to create a unique platform combining sports, entertainment, and social messaging. Prominent women personalities from film, television, media, and the influencer community will participate, showcasing talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Sandalwood actress Ramya is the brand ambassador for this season, representing the league’s message of women empowerment, strength, and unity.
The official season kick-off happened on October 25 with the Player Auction, where owners of all 10 franchise teams and the title sponsor, KNS Infrastructure’s Managing Director K.N. Surendra, were present.
Leading actresses such as Shanvi Srivastava, Asha Bhat, Dhanya Ramkumar, Nidhi Subbayya, Rachana Inder, Neha Saxena, Bhavana Rao, Radhika Narayan, Parvathy Nair, and Saptami Gowda will captain their respective teams. Over 150 women film and television celebrities attended the trophy and jersey launch event.
DGP M.A. Saleem , Karnataka Olympic Association & FIBA President Dr. K. Govindaraj, and Olympian Anju Bobby George supported the campaign “Say No to Drugs – Say Yes to Sports; Health is the Real Victory.”
Politicians, women film stars, industry leaders, and TV personalities have extended their support to this initiative, aimed at cultivating sports culture and encouraging a healthy, drug-free lifestyle among youth.
The event coordination is being led by Mahesh Kumar J (Founder), Pramod Shetty (Co-Founder), along with Santosh Billava, Prem Sagar, Chetan Parekh, and their team.
QPL Season 2 is emerging as a platform that combines sportsmanship, women empowerment, fashion, dance, and social responsibility, redefining how women showcase their strength, talent, and team spirit.
Speaking at the event, Olympian Padma Shri Anju Bobby George said, “I am happy to see a unique platform that gives women an opportunity to showcase their talent through sports. Sports shape overall development — physical, mental, and intellectual — and teach discipline. I hope this platform grows bigger every year.”
