Dharwad, Oct 13, Daily Mail 24 Online: Two people were killed on the spot and ten others were injured when the cruiser vehicle they were travelling in rammed into a tree near Tegur on the outskirts of Dharwad on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Suresh Tuppad (55) and his mother Mahantamma (85), both residents of Hudco Colony in Gadag. The ten other passengers who were in the same vehicle sustained injuries and have been shifted to the District Hospital for treatment.
According to sources, the group was returning to Gadag after visiting the Mahalaxmi Temple in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, when the accident occurred.
A case has been registered at the Garag police station, and an investigation is underway.
